Freedom Statement of the United Kingdoms of Bamenda (UKB)

The United Kingdoms of Bamenda was not born from hatred or revenge—it was born from a profound desire for dignity, justice, and self-determination. Our freedom is not a cry for isolation, but a call to restore the broken promise of equality, respect, and responsible governance.

Why We Exist

We exist to:

  • Restore the sovereign rights of the people of the North West Region, which were stripped without consent.

  • Create a secure, prosperous, and inclusive Anglophone nation built on justice, education, and opportunity.

  • Protect our cultural identity, language, and systems that have been marginalized for decades.

  • Establish a government accountable to its people—one that listens, learns, and acts in their best interest.

What We Believe

  • Freedom is a divine right. Every man, woman, and child deserves to live without fear or oppression.

  • Justice cannot be negotiated. Peace is possible only when dignity is upheld.

  • Unity must be voluntary. There is no freedom in forced marriages of nations.

  • History must be told truthfully. The silence of the oppressed will not rewrite our legacy.

  • Progress must be shared. No region or people should be left behind.

What We Hope For

  • A future where no citizen is arrested for speaking their language, raising their voice, or demanding fairness.

  • A land where young people don’t have to flee abroad to dream, and elders can age with dignity.

  • A country that educates, heals, and feeds its people—not one that exploits them.

  • Partnerships with those who share our vision—not just of independence, but of interdependence, humanity, and peace.

To the World

We ask not for permission, but for recognition.
We ask not for war, but for acknowledgment.
We stand not against others, but for ourselves.

Let it be known: our cause is just, our path is peaceful, and our resolve is unshakable.

“We are not seceding; we are restoring. We are not rebelling; we are remembering. We are not running; we are rising.”
